Here is the timeline ...
(as
best we can determine)
July 2008: WDSC-TV begins to carry Worldview programing. It
includes Russia Today but NOT Al Jazeera English.
April 2009: MHZ Worldview added Al Jazeera to their national
program feed. WDSC airs it nightly 7 days per week.
October 2009: WDSC recieves a complaint from a soldier living
in Ocala. WDSC Program Director seems to have been unaware that they were airing Al Jazeera English.
December 2009: WDSC recieves a letter from Senator
Nelson.
January 2010: WDSC stops airing Al Jazeera English. Shortly
thereafter they add it back in to their programing.
It is ironic that WDSC and the proponents for Russia Today want to give Valdamir Putin free airtime
on U.S. taxpayer supported public television, when Putin has all but eliminated the free press in
Russia.
Disclaimer: The following files were taken from the Public File at WDSC-TV. These are my
personal copies that I have made some markings on but I did not change the information that was in them.
I have tried to place them in chronological order. If you want exact copies you should obtain them from the station
directly.
